The V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Atlanta Friends of V are happy to announce the seventh annual Jimmy V Atlanta Celebrity Golf Classic, taking place May 3, 2010 at the Cherokee Town and Country Club in Sandy Springs, GA.

The sixth annual Jimmy V Atlanta Celebrity Golf Classic raised funds to support unique cancer research pilot projects (seed grants) at two local Atlanta area institutions, Emory University and Georgia Tech. Cancer researchers at these institutions have joined forces to develop the preliminary phases of ground-breaking technologies for use in both the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Since 2004, The V Foundation for Cancer Research has awarded $250,000 in research grants to the program.
